On July 11, in the highest military institution in Nepal
- Nepal Army Command and Staff College, CI held "China Day"
activities. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Wu Chuntai and government
officials and military officers from the United States, India, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, South Korea, Pakistan, Malaysia and other countries attended
this event. The event's theme is "Understanding China past and present,
experiencing Chinese culture, tasting Chinese food."
Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University carried out detailed planning
and careful preparation, several venue rehearsals were held before the
event. During the activities, Confucius Institute students enthusiastically
sang "Beijing welcomes you" and performed Chinese martial arts,
which won the audience bursts of applause. In addition, Confucius Institute
also carefully prepared traditional Chinese culture exhibitions, including
Chinese folklore, calligraphy, Face book, Chess, Chinese knots. Participants
enthusiastically visited the exhibition, continuing to consult the Confucius
Institute students and positively experienced, demonstrated on the exhibition
and showed strong interest in Chinese culture. Two Chinese students from
Nepal Army Command and Staff College gave their lectures on Chinese history,
ethnicity, diet, culture and other multi-angle description of the relationship
between China and Nepal. Wu Chuntai excitedly picked up a brush pen and
wrote "Long live the friendship between China and Nepal".
