On July 5, "Confucius Institute Cup" badminton tournament was held in Kathmandu badminton hall at the main campus of the University. Kathmandu University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shrestha visited the stadium, watched the tournament and 20 teachers, students from Kathmandu University Main Campus, School of Management students and Confucius Institute social student representatives attended the game.
The aim of "Confucius Institute Cup" badminton tournament is to enhance physical fitness while improving learners' interest in learning, so that they can apply their knowledge when learning Chinese. So in this competition we require the language used should be Chinese, whether outside the stadium or in the arena, Chinese expression should be used. Although the arena players have very fierce competition, but they always remember to use this philosophy.
Kathmandu University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Shrestha watched the contest, and gave prizes to the winners. He highly praised the badminton competition, positively evaluate the Confucius Institute's efforts and expressed hope Confucius Institute to organize more high-level cultural activities. He will continue to support the various activities of the Confucius Institute.
