On June 24, Mr. Yang Jiechi, Chinese State Councilor, Met with Vice Chancellor of KU and Chinese Director of CIKU in the hotel he stayed. He said:¡É with a long history friendly relationship between China and Nepal, new leaders of China pay much attention to developing and deepening relationship between the two countries.¡É With a great appreciation to vice chancellor for his support for Confucius Institute, Mr. Yang Jiechi hoped that KU could cooperate with more Chinese university, promoting more academic researches. He also hoped that more and more Nepali students learn Chinese, making a contribution to the relationship between China and Nepal. Mr. Wu Chuntai, Chinese Ambassador in Nepal, introduced the conditions of CIKU to him.
