September 16, CIKU held Mid-autumn festival celebration. About 100 Students of CIKU, teachers of Kusom and other Chinese and foreign friends took part in the celebration. The celebration was aimed at promoting Chinese Mid-autumn festival culture and improving students interest in learning Chinese.
Multicolored balloons, beautiful couplets, red lanterns and Chinese knots made the festival jubilant. Miss Liu Qiuhau introduced the Mid-autumn customs to participants with fluent English. Miss Bai Guixiu vividly told the story of the Moon and showed drawing works "Changer" and "Bright Moon" by students. Some students of CIKU passionately sang Chinese songs "Prelude to water melody", "A Hero Never Dies" etc. Every participant tasted moon cake, experienced calligraphy and other Chinese cultures.
Mid-autumn festival celebration intuitively made students understand and experience Chinese festival culture, and students learned knowledge of Chinese culture in an atmosphere of joy. They indicated that this kind of activity is very significant, and they are willing to take part in activities by CIKU.
