After the Chinese language course started at Department of Language and Mass Communication, Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University organized the second Chinese Language Course orientation program at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel on 20 March, 2009. Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Dean of Engineering made an opening speech; Dr. Li Wanxian, Director of CIKU gave a lecture on understanding China and Chinese Culture, Professor He Yi introduced the Chinese elective course for the students of non-language majors. Over eighty students and staff members attended the program.
