Ceremony of Certificate Granting and Donoation
(CIKU, May 19th) Confucius Instituet at Kathmandu
University held in a Silent Tribute a Ceremony of Certificate
Granting and Donation for the survivors of the earthquake in China
with the presence of V.C, Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, Registrar, Dr.
Bhadra Man Tuladhar, President of Nepal and China Executives Council,
Mr. Anoop Ranjan Bhattarai, Dean of School of Arts, Dr. Mahesh
Banskota, Dean of School of Arts, Dean of School of Management,
Prof. Subash KC, Dr. Sagar Sharma, head of HNRS, teachers and
students from Confucius Institute.
Chinese Director, Mr. Shang Liwei introduced
to all at present the earthquake in China, and proposed standing
in a silent tribute for the victims of the earthquake for 3 minutes.
Everyone at present expressed their deep sympathy to Chinese People
and they donated for the victims of earthquake, saying that the
amount of the money is not large, but their hearts are sincere
and hoping that Chinese People who are suffering from the disaster
will rebuild their homes with the support of people all over the
world.
Chinese Director expressed his great appreciation
of Nepali colleagues and students' generosity, he said their sincere
wishes and good will will reach the Chinese People, who can sense
the deep friendship from Nepalis; and we are sure that the survivors
will stand up with all these supports.
After that, a simple but cordial Ceremony of
Cerfitificate Granting was held. V. C. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma granted
the certificates to34 students.
We have got 28,200 Rupees in total, and Teachers
from Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University transfered the
money to Chinese Embassy afterwords together with a Letter of
Condoling.
Teachers from Confucius Institute at Kathmandu
University attended the Mourning Ceremony held at Chinese Embassy
and donated again.
