Ms. Ma Lan, member of Chinese Calligraphers Association was invited to give a lecture on “Experiencing the Charming Chinese Culture” on March 28th, 2013.
Ms. Ma Lan not only simplified the evolution of Chinese characters and the rules of writing, but also laid out the magic and interests of calligraphy. Besides understanding Chinese traditional thoughts of Buddhism and Confucianism, the students of CIKU experienced in Chinese brush writing as well. They all expressed that they were quite beneficial from such culture experience activity and hoped CIKU can arrange more activities like this.
