On May 12th, the Confucius Institute at KU took part in the China Education Exhibition in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was organized by China Scholarship Council and undertaken by Chinese Embassy to Nepal, Nepal-China Cultural & Educational Council and Confucius Institute at KU. Fourteen Universities from China including Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics attended the exhibition.
Wu Chun Tai, the Ambassador of Chinese Embassy to Nepal, and Prasad Poudel, the education minister of Nepal attended the exhibition. Both of them indicated that the development of China education is influential to Nepal. They also expressed the hope that such exhibition should be held every year.
The booth of Confucius Institute at KU attracted many students¡Ç attention. With keen interests in Chinese language and culture, they showed strong desire to learn Chinese in Confucius Institute at KU. The exhibition makes more Nepal students know more about Confucius Institute, and it plays a significant role in making CIKU enjoy a greater fame and influence in Nepal.
