(CI at KU, April 17) CI at KU carried out series of activities concerning Beijing Olympic Games

With Beijing Olympic Games drawing near, Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University carried out series of activities to effectively publicize Beijing Olympic Games and to support Beijing Olympic Games in action.

We developed "Beijing Olympic" in our website introducing the history, motto and logo of Olympic Games, Beijing's preparations for the great event and the teachers and students' opinions about the event. We also made a workshop displaying China's participation in Olympic Games, and a Counting Down Board to remind us the days left. Teachers, students and our colleagues as well signed their names on the board to express their good wishes to Beijing Olympic Games. We also contacted National Sports Council-Nepal to offer practical Chinese classes, introduce the sports and venues.

By these rich and colorful activities, we publicized the Spirit of Olympic Games and Beijing's Concept of Peace, and it is also a good lesson to both teachers and students from Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University.
