(Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University, June 15 )-- Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University officially opened on June 15. Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University is Nepal's first Confucius Institute,and it is also the first Confucius Institute co-established with foreign countries and unveiled by Hebei general universities.The first Chinese teacher, He Yi, an associate professor from Hebei University of Economics and Business,dispatched by the Office of Chinese Language Council International,has begun to teach students of Chinese classes.

The first Chinese class of Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University has more than 20 students, who are lawyers, doctors, MBA graduates and entrepreneurs,etc.They hope to master Chinese pinyin system simple conversational Chinese and Chinese history and geography and cultural k
nowledge through this short-term Chinese classes.At work they increasingly feel the urgency of learning Chinese knowledge, therefore, they have an absolute study goal and a strong enthusiasm. Now every day there are many calls inquiring about Chinese teaching.

It is reported that in September, Confucius institute in Kathmandu University will offer Chinese classes for undergraduates in particular, and apply to the Chinese embassy in Nepal,for the set-up of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) center in the Kathmandu University. Vice President Wang Fengming of Hebei University of Economics and Business said: " The set-up of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) center will play an important role in the cultural exchanges between China and Nepal."
